Waterfall Abseiling

Destination: Bhivpuri (80 km from Mumbai, 2 hour - 30 min journey)

Activity: Waterfall Abseiling / also known as Waterfall Rappelling
​
Grade: Moderate
​
Assemble: At Bhivpuri Railway Station
Conveyance: Bring your own vehicle till Bhivpuri, share rides or take the train.
​
Trekking Distance: Short hike from the Bhivpuri village till we reach the Waterfall. We will then do Waterfall Abseiling and then hike back to the village.
​
Meals: Carry your packed breakfast along. Carry more quantity than usual – you will need it. Lunch will be at the village base post the activity, which is a long gap between two meals.
​
Children: Adventure Activity not suitable for children below 12 years. Children have to be accompanied by adults. Immature adults need to be accompanied by grand-parents.
What is Waterfall Abseiling?
​
Waterfall Abseiling is perhaps the most thrilling adventure sport that is perfect in the monsoons. Little away from the city is a high rock cliff with gushing waterfall. High on adrenaline, you descend off the vertical face right into the waterfall line. This will have you soaking wet and a great sight to see your friends scream through it all !

Proposed Schedule:

Assemble at Bhivpuri Village. (The base from where the hike towards Bekare Waterfall starts).

We then move towards the Base Village and park our vehicles there. We will leave our main bags behind and carry only the essentials (cap, water bottle, small snacks, raincoat / rain poncho) with us. We will be leaving our main bag and an extra pair of dry clothes in it at the base village, since it might get wet if we carry it up to the waterfall.

We will arrive at the waterfall after a small hike. After a relaxing and refreshing dip in the pond nearby we will have a Safety Briefing before we start our exciting adventurous activity.

Finally the time we’ve been waiting for since so long has arrived!
The time to Abseil down the sparkling blue Waterfall.

We will engage in the Activity and then return back to the base village.

We will be welcomed by a delicious lunch at the base village, after changing into a dry pair of clothes (A changing room will be provided).

We depart from the location after lunch, and head back to the city with joyful memories.

Waterfall Rappelling Tips and Advisory

Any delay to start will have repercussions with delayed lunch for the entire team and poor visibility, forcing aborting of the activity and untimely return.

Lunch will be provided at the base of the Hill. This will be served once you arrive at the base after the trek. Lunch will be a simple vegetarian meal prepared by the local community.

Keep hydrated at all times and you are advised to inform the organizers immediately in case you have any sign of intense fatigue, dehydration, or heat stroke. Symptoms include nausea, headache, fatigue, dizziness, etc.

You are informed to maintain code of conduct and at no time engage in dangerous stunts, show aggression, break environmental guidelines, endanger life of self and others. Safety team has the right to disallow your participation in case of unsafe movement at the technical site, attempts to disrupt the attention of the safety team, out-of-turn actions.

Do not touch technical gear with bare hands immediately after the attempt as the friction would have heated the gear to the extent that it can light a cigarette.

Never attempt activity without a harness and helmet.

Obey instructions of the Safety Team at all times.

Do not cross the marked areas, until it’s your turn.

Do not forsake safety for speed. It’s a stupid bargain.

We will be engaging in outdoor activities and you are requested to be well prepared with the right clothing and footwear. The weather can be warm and sunny or extremely wet and cloudy. The activities will continue to happen in the prevailing weather conditions for the entire day. So be adequately prepared.

Long hair should be tied back before engaging in the activity, even if you look unattractive.

All jewelry and other accessories must be removed to prevent injury or sold to raise funds for our Foundation.

Bat Mobile and Bat Wing (Batman’s Vehicles) need to be stationed at the parking below only. Walking cannot be skipped.

It is a strict rule to bring ALL our rubbish back home to dispose of it responsibly. Do not litter!
